Bard: Google’s artificial intelligence to compete with ChatGPT

Recently, the appearance of ChatGPT became a worldwide trend, a dialogical artificial intelligence capable of answering questions and generating reliable information on various topics, as long as it is interacted with clearly and precisely. Something that immediately caught the attention of Microsoft, to the point that it decided to invest large sums of money in its development, with a view to its integration in a very short time into the Bing search engine and Microsoft Teams, among other Microsoft services.

As expected, this posed a threat to Google’s reign in the field of information searches, so its CEO Sundar Pinchai did not take long to announce Bard, his own language model developed with artificial intelligence, but still in experimental phase.

In that same publication it was specified that Bard is based on a broader project called LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), also with the ability to generate conversations naturally, just as a human being does. But with the difference that Bard works permanently connected to the cloud to generate the information requested, which does not happen with ChatGPT, whose database is updated periodically.

How to use Bard?

Bard is still in the testing phase. After this evaluation period by the staff that is part of the project, it will most likely be launched as a consultation tool within your browser.

The possibilities offered by generative artificial intelligence through tools such as Bard or ChatGPT will undoubtedly revolutionize the way of acquiring information and generating content in the short term.
