Other Twitch products are Bits and Cheers. Twitch Bits are a kind of virtual currency that works within the platform and is used to reward content creators.
Bits are used to make direct donations or buy personalized emoticons (Cheermotes) that are sent later during a live broadcast through animated messages called Cheers. Content creators receive a small percentage of the Bits spent on Cheers sent by a viewer of their channel.
How to buy Bits on Twitch
Buying Bits, the currency of Twitch, is very simple. You just have to enter the Twitch page and log in to your user account. Next, go to the top right and click on Get Bits.
Once the prices of the available Bits packages appear (they may vary depending on the geographical region), choose the one that best suits your budget and select the payment method. Twitch accepts Amazon Pay, PayPal, SafetyPay services as payment methods, as well as debit cards and credit cards from local banks.
How to donate Cheers on Twitch
Once you have earned Bits to donate, go to the channel text window and write the word “cheer” followed by the amount of Bits you want to use. As an example, if you write “cheer 100” you will be sending a 100 Bit Cheer.
Another way to do this is to click on the gem icons or pull down the Show All Cheermotes menu to select a specific cheermote (an icon from Twitch’s Chearing system that includes popular emotes and custom versions of a particular channel).
