How to enable Wi-Fi Direct on Epson L3150 All-in-One

The Epson L3150 All-in-One Printer has a lot of attributes, but one of the most important is its wireless functionality.

This feature allows you to do print jobs or transfer scanned or copied images to your computer or mobile phone without the need for cables. And for which it is enough to connect it to the router at home using the Epson installation wizard.

However, there are times when this connection is out of date, for example when the router changes or the name of the Wi-Fi network changes. For these cases, the L3150 printer has the Wi-Fi Direct function, which allows you to connect directly to up to 4 other Wi-Fi devices without using a router.

To activate this function it is only necessary to carry out a fairly simple procedure using the buttons on your control panel. These are the steps to follow.

To get started, make sure there is paper loaded in the printer.

Holding down the Wi-Fi button, press the network status button until the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct indicator lights start to flash alternately.

Then release the buttons. Wait for the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct indicators to stop flashing and only the Wi-Fi Direct indicator to light.

Then press and hold the network status button for about 7 seconds to print a network status sheet. Finally, connect from your computer or mobile device to the Wi-Fi network indicated in the Wi-Fi Direct section of the network status sheet.

Note: to print via Wi-Fi Direct from your computer it is recommended that you use the network software recommended by the manufacturer.
