Live11: Windows 11 portable compatible with old PCs

Live11 is a product of NTDVE, the same developer of Tiny11. It is a version of Windows 11 that can be run from a USB memory or DVD as a Live-USB or Live-DVD as the case may be. Therefore, it does not depend on a hard drive to function; it is simply loaded into RAM memory and can rather be used to recover or rescue information from a system that has collapsed due to a failure in its main unit.

Like Tiny11, Live11 is a compact version of Windows 11 aimed at older or less powerful computers. That is why it also does not require a TPM 2.0 module to work and it does not run on computers with UEFI/GPT type firmware, although support for these is expected in the near future. However, in order for it to load and function effectively, it needs 8GB of RAM.

How to download and run Live11?

To download this version of Windows portable use your Internet browser and go to archive.org/download/live-11-mbr.

Next, download the file in ISO format and transfer it to a USB memory with a capacity greater than 4.7 GB or burn it to a blank DVD disc using specialized tools such as Rufus or Yumi. Once this is done, restart your PC.

However, for Live11 to load into your PC’s RAM memory the next time you reboot, you must modify the boot sequence in the BIOS, putting the USB memory or DVD disk first, depending on where you have moved the ISO file. Keep in mind that in this way of running an operating system, all current information is lost when the computer is turned off.

Another way to run Live11 is through virtual machines. Programs compatible with Live11 are the usual ones in this class of software except Oracle VirtualBox due to a temporary incompatibility.
