There are many options to connect a Soundbar to a smart TV – via Bluetooth, HDMI, RCA, optical cable. You would undoubtedly choose a Bluetooth connection if you don’t like to see messy cables getting around and you are ready to sacrifice a bit the sound quality when playing your movies in 4K resolution.
How to connect a JBL soundbar to an LG Smart TV via Bluetooth
We will use a JBL 3.1 soundbar and a Smart LG TV, to show you how to connect them using Bluetooth. Although the menus may vary depending on the brand and model of the devices, the procedure is very similar. In the end, the goal is to be paring them.
In the soundbar, select the input via Bluetooth (BT), either using the Source button on the remote control or the button provided for it on the device. After this, the bar will display the PAIRING message.
Go to the settings on your TV (using the setting button on the LG remote control) and select All Settings.
Go to Sound > Sound Out. In the Bluetooth option, click on Device selection.
The TV will search for nearby Bluetooth devices. When you find your JBL soundbar, select it. That’s all; you’re done!
Now you can enjoy your Netflix series and movies or other streaming services with better sound quality.
Note: If your soundbar has a Bluetooth subwoofer, you will have to pair them:
