How to speed up your Android TV Box

The set-top box devices or TVs that run Android TV, as well as the smartphones based on this same system in its mobile version, have resources that with the use of video or game applications that make intensive use of the connection to Internet end up crashing, which produces a general slowness of the device.

A solution to this problem is to restart the device, thereby freeing up the RAM memory consumed by all the applications open at that time, as well as those running in the background. However, doing it in the middle of a movie and, above all, having to wait for the system to load is not a satisfactory experience for any user.

Developer options

Fortunately, within the Android system, there is a hidden feature known as developer options, which has been designed for application or game programmers to debug the operation of their products by toggling between various display settings or operating system parameters.

Within them there are some settings that can make the graphical performance of the Android TV device more fluid, without having to restart the system or restore it to its factory settings.

We will show you these below, but first we will tell you how to activate the developer options on Android TV.

How to enable the developer options on Android TV Box

Go to Settings > Device Preferences > About. Scroll down to Build and press the remote control button 7 times on this option. A notification will confirm that they have activated the developer options.
