How to watch free movies on Chromecast with Google TV?

Chromecast with Google TV is an Internet multimedia content player that works connected to a television through any of its HDMI ports.

It comes equipped with Google TV, a new operating system for smart TVs developed by Google, which is actually a variant of Android TV.

That is why it also includes access to the Google Play Store, supports the installation of applications from unofficial sources in APK format and comes with integrated Chromecast.

Chromecast with Google TV has Wi-Fi connectivity so you can join it to the wireless network of your home or that of your friends when you visit, and thus be able to watch movies and TV series, both from Netflix and from any other online entertainment service compatible.

However, its ability to support APK applications offers the possibility of installing alternative application stores to download much more content of interest or applications that are only published on the author’s page. This is the case of TeaTV.

What is TeaTV?

TeaTV is an application that gives you access to the latest television and film productions in exchange for a bit of advertising.

TeaTV offers all the content of its catalog in high definition free of charge and has a playback system that supports subtitles in different languages.

TeaTV is an application with an APK file extension, so to install it on your Chromecast device with Google TV, you have to go through an additional procedure. Next, we show you how to do it.

How to install TeaTv on Chromecast with Google TV?

First of all, you must activate the developer options, since this function is the one that allows the installation of applications from unofficial sources (unknown apps) in the Chromecast player with Google TV.

To do this, click on the icon that represents your user profile and select the Configuration option. Now, go to System > About and hover your remote control cursor over the Android TV OS Build option.

Next, press seven times in a row on that option using the OK key. A notice on the screen will let you know that you are already a developer.

Next, go to the Google Play Store and download the Downloader app. Once done, go to Settings > Apps > Security and restrictions > Install unknown apps.

Select Downloader and press the OK button (verify that the Allowed option is activated). All this in order to be able to install unknown apps through Downloader.

Now, go back to the main menu and open Downloader, go to its side panel and select Browser.

In the address box located at the top of the screen, type https://www.teatv.net and click Go.

Place the cursor on TeaTV Android (green button) and press OK. Then, click on the Free download button (orange color). Wait for the file to download and click Install. Then click Open.

Configure the language of the subtitles and start browsing the TeaTV catalogue.

Note:

It is very possible that when you want to play a title you are suggested to install the TPlayer player. If so, do it.

To be successful with this process, make sure you enable the option to install unknown apps from TeaTV. In this case, go to Settings > Apps > Security and restrictions > Install unknown apps. Select TeaTV and press the OK button
