LinkedIn is a very useful social network for professional development. A LinkedIn profile allows you to establish employment links with companies and connections with other groups of professionals, this being one of the reasons for maintaining a single user account and unsubscribing from any other that we have created with the same name.
Other reasons for leaving the LinkedIn network are disillusionment with the service, privacy concerns, or simply no longer need it.
How to close a LinkedIn account
In any case, the procedure to cancel a LinkedIn account is very simple. There is no need to contact LinkedIn via email or make calls to foreign numbers, since everything is done from the same LinkedIn user account.
These are the steps to follow:
First, log in to your LinkedIn account from your computer’s browser.
Click on your profile and select Settings and privacy.
In Account Preferences, go to Account Management and select Close Account. Then click Continue.
Explain the reasons for closing the account and click Next.
To finish, enter your account password and click Done.
How to reactivate a deleted LinkedIn account
Your LinkedIn account will have been cancelled, however, after 14 days you will be able to reactivate it by logging in as usual.
Although if you regret it and want to return immediately, you can do it from the closure confirmation message sent to your email account linked to LinkedIn.
