How to pixelate photos in WhatsApp – iPhone

One way to hide parts of a photograph that you do not want to expose is to distort it using a technique known as pixelation, thereby increasing its pixels to a size sufficient to prevent their identification.

The same can already be done directly from within WhatsApp in its version for iPhone. Its usefulness is undoubted, especially when you want to share graphic content that requires a certain degree of privacy, such as the faces of minors, car license plates, among others. We show you how to do it.

Open WhatsApp and open the individual or group chat from which you will share photos. Touch the icon with a “+” symbol located at the bottom of the screen and select Photos & Videos.

When the gallery opens, select the photo you want to pixelate. Next, touch the pencil icon to bring up the color bar.

Tap at the bottom of this bar to activate the filter for pixelation. Finally, run your finger over the parts of the photo that you don’t want to expose to your contacts and click Send.
