How to remove ‘Forwarded’ from WhatsApp messages

Despite the fact that WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted, its control system is capable of detecting those that are forwarded and makes the ‘Forwarded‘ label appear next to them.

At the same time it can detect when they are forwarded to more than five chats, but in this case it labels them as ‘forwarded many times’ and also limits their forwarding to more than one chat at a time.

WhatsApp does it with the aim of preventing the spread of spam and also as a way to alert its users that the message in question is not authored by its sender and may be false information. Also, because the forwarding of messages is not consistent with the purpose of WhatsApp, which is to establish personal communication between friends or family.

If this is not to your liking or at some point you want to ignore this provision imposed by WhatsApp, there is a trick that allows you to make these labels disappear. We show you how to do it (effective).

How to remove ‘Forwarded’ tag from WhatsApp messages

Actually, this trick consists of avoiding the use of the WhatsApp forwarding function and it is divided into two parts. The first one offers the possibility to hide the forwarded tag to photos, videos and audio messages, that is, multimedia files. These are the steps you must follow.

Open the WhatsApp app on your smartphone and enter the conversation that contains the multimedia file.

Tap the file until the options menu appears. On Android, tap the More options icon (three dots icon) and select the Share option. On iPhone, tap Forward and then tap on the Share icon. Next, select the contact you want to send the file to and tap the send icon.

The second part of the trick concerns the ability to hide the forwarded tag in text messages or links.

In this case, the steps are very similar, but instead of choosing the Share option, you have to use the Copy option. Then, you just have to paste the copied content into the message box of the chosen recipient and send it in the usual way.
