The possibility of enjoying a Netflix movie with friends remains suspended in many parts of the planet, since a social distancing is still being accepted due to the coronavirus pandemic. But in order that this experience is not relegated to the imaginative sphere, software has appeared that offers the opportunity to bring distant people together to watch the same Netflix series or movie. This is Netflix Party, an extension for the Chrome browser that allows a Netflix user to organize an online meeting with their friends or family to enjoy Netflix.
Netflix Party offers synchronized playback between all attendees of the remote feature and a group chat system. Your only requirements are to use the Chrome browser and that all meeting participants have the Netflix Party extension installed. We show you how it works.
How Netflix Party works
Download the Netflix Party extension and add it to your Chrome browser. Once added to your browser, you will notice that its icon has been located at the end of the address bar.
Open Netflix and select the show or movie. You will notice that the Netflix Party icon turns red. To start the Netflix meeting, click on the icon and click on the Start the party button.
Share the link shown in the box with your friends.
In order for them to join the meeting and watch the selected movie together, they will need to open the link and then click on the Netflix Party icon.
