How to play Spotify on Google Nest Hub and Google Home

Google Nest Hub and Google’s smart speakers (Home / Dot) let you play your favorite music using the voice command feature.

By default, they use the YouTube Music service to play the music you request, but they also offer music from other services such as Spotify. To do this, you need to link your Google account to Spotify account through the Google Home app.

Note: You can also choose Spotify as the default music provider during Google Nest Hub or Google Home / Dot setup.

How to link your Google account to Spotify

Open your Google Home app on your smartphone (Android or iPhone) (download and install it, if you haven’t already done so).

Tap the Profile icon (bottom right of the Home screen). Scroll to the bottom of the screen and touch Music. Choose Spotify from More music services. Tap LINK ACCOUNT and then sign in to Spotify.

Accept the conditions, and that’s it!. Your new default music provider is now Spotify. Try saying: “Ok Google,” “Play jazz music from my favorite playlists,” “Turn up the volume on Spotify,” or something new like “Play my Discover Weekly on Spotify.”
