There is a trick to enable Wi-Fi Direct on some Xiaomi phone models, such as Redmi Note 9,10 Poco X3 Pro...Please follow these steps:

Open your phone's Control Center by swiping down from the top of the screen.

Enable Location and Wi-Fi.

Next, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on Additional settings.

Finally under Other Connection Methods, tap on Wi-Fi Direct.
