How to enable YouTube PiP mode in Chrome for PC

The consumption of videos from the computer is increasing. For this reason, those in charge of offering the means to reproduce them do not cease in their eagerness to implement new functions that allow a better experience.

One of them is YouTube‘s floating window mode, clearly influenced by the PiP (picture in picture) mode of some televisions, which allows two television channel signals or two video sources to be played at the same time.

In the case of YouTube, the Picture in Picture mode allows you to watch the videos on the platform while performing other tasks. Either at the ends of the screen so as not to interfere with other tasks or in the place that the user prefers. It can be used from Chrome, Firefox, Vivaldi, Chromium for Raspberry Pi, among other browsers. Here we show you this way to enjoy YouTube videos.

How to watch YouTube videos in picture in picture mode

Open YouTube from your preferred browser and play the video you want to watch.

Place the cursor in the playback window and make two right clicks, one after the other. In the options menu that appears at the bottom, select Picture in Picture (Floating Window in Chromium).

A thumbnail of the YouTube video will be positioned at the bottom right of your screen, but you can drag it to the part you prefer and resize it with the help of the mouse. And when you want to return to normal viewing mode, all you have to do is hover over the thumbnail and click the Back to tab option.
