How to fill and sign a PDF form

Electronic documents have long replaced physical paper, giving rise to forms or documents in which information has to be completed to be distributed and exchanged in digital format, usually the PDF format.

This is the reason that has motivated Adobe, the company that created the PDF, to create two tools for completing and signing PDF files from digital devices, which avoids printing, scanning, among other traditional methods. The first can be run from your computer through the free Adobe Creative Reader DC program and the second from your mobile phone through the application. Both are of immediate execution and here we show you how they work.

How to fill and sign a PDF from your PC

Launch the Adobe Reader program.

Click on the Tools tab and then another click on Fill & Sign. Next, open the PDF document by clicking Select File.

In the window that opens, click Fill and sign. Enter the requested information in the respective fields of the form.

If it has been requested, proceed to sign it. To do this, place the cursor in the field provided for it, click Sign and select Add signature.

Choose between one of the proposed methods: Text, Draw or Image. If you opt for the latter and you still don’t have the image of your handwritten signature saved in a graphic file, you can draw it on a paper with a white background, take a photo of it with your cell phone and share it to a folder on your hard drive.

Then, you select it and click Apply.

Finally, place the signature in the desired place and save the document (File > Save). Then you can send the PDF by email, by WhatsApp Web or the medium you prefer.

How to fill and sign a PDF from your cell phone

Download Adobe Fill & Sign from Google Play Store or App Store.

Open the application on your smartphone and click on the icon that appears on the screen. Fill in the required information. And to sign, click on the icon in the form of a pen and select Create signature.

Draw your signature with your finger and once created, place it in the part of the document assigned for this purpose.

Finally, use the Share button to send it by email, WhatsApp or save it in the cloud.
