Indeed, starting with version 8.0, Telegram has added to its instant messaging functions (in text, audio and video) and sending files, live transmissions with which it intends that its users can have and manage their own stations. of TV.
However, this Telegram live streaming option works only within its groups and channels, which makes a lot of sense since they are aimed at mass transmission of content to a massive number of participants or subscribers, in unlimited quantity in the case. of the channels.
How to broadcast live from a Telegram channel or group
First of all you must have a Telegram channel. If you don’t already have it, open the message creation screen and select New channel. Choose a name and description (preferred), then select the channel type and set up the invite link.
Now, the moment you want to start a live broadcast from the channel, select it and tap on the profile icon. Next, tap Stream > Start Live Stream. Then activate the camera and microphone depending on how you want to broadcast the video.
In the case of groups, the way to start a transmission is very similar. The only thing that differs from channels is that you have to choose the Videochat option instead of Stream.
