The nominations for the 96th edition of the Oscars 2024 have already been officially announced. The Academy announced the complete list of nominees in the 24 categories that will compete at the gala on March 10.
The most favored in nominations is the acclaimed film Oppenheimer, which obtained 13 nominations including best film, best soundtrack, best director for Christopher Nolan, best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr. and best supporting actress for Emily Blunt.
Another of the big contenders is Poor Things, the new collaboration by Yorgos Lanthimos and Enma Stone with 11 nominations. It is followed by Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon with 10 nominations, which stars Robert De Niro, who is also competing for the Oscar for best actor.
Also competing for best film are American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, Past Lives, The Holdovers, The Zone of Interest. and Master.
The best film category is joined by 23 other categories that house more candidates eager to win the golden statuette. This is the full list.
