What is HyperOS?
HyperOS is the next operating system developed by Xiaomi, both for its own brand mobile devices and for its Redmi and Poco sub-brands.
It is not a new system as it is based on Android but it presents a new control center, improvements regarding the user experience and a new form of communication between the devices in its ecosystem, including watches and devices prepared for the Internet of Things. things. The latter are controlled by a proprietary operating system called Vela, which will also be integrated into HyperOS.
Its global launch is expected for the end of 2023 and will coincide with the launch of the 14 series of phones that bear the same name from the company and will expand to the other brands sold by Xiaomi.
As announced by representatives of the Asian company on social networks such as Twitter, HyperOS will gradually replace MIUI, the Android customization layer that is still in force to control devices in the Xiaomi ecosystem.
