I'm new to Mac OS and I'm wondering what's the most efficient way to take screenshots on my Mac. Are there built-in tools or third-party applications that you recommend for capturing my screen?

Looking for some expert advice to streamline the process!

There are several ways to take a screenshot on a Mac:

To capture the entire screen, press Command + Shift + 3.

To capture a selected portion of the screen, press Command + Shift + 4, then use the cursor to select the area you want to capture.

To capture a specific window, press Command + Shift + 4, then press the Spacebar. The cursor will change to a camera icon, which you can use to select the window you want to capture.

To capture a specific menu, press Command + Shift + 4, then press the Spacebar. The cursor will change to a camera icon, which you can use to select the menu you want to capture.

All the screenshots will be saved to the desktop by default.

You can also use the built-in screenshot tool by pressing Shift + Command + 5 and you can edit, record the screen or take a timed screenshot as well.
