How to update your iPhone to iOS 14

Discover the new iOS 14 before its official launch.

The new version of iOS is already available in the form of a public beta, which means that you don’t have to be a developer to be able to test it on your iPhone. As usual in any great iOS update, Apple incorporates interesting news and improvements, among which are the redesign of the home screen, the Picture in Picture mode to watch videos or make FaceTime video calls doing other tasks, and a new system Notification of incoming calls that do not fill the entire screen.

The beta version of iOS 14 only works with iPhone 6s onwards. To download and install it on our iPhone, you must start by registering for the Apple beta software program and registering the device to be updated. These are the steps to follow.

How to download and install iOS 14 beta on your iPhone

Enter beta.apple.com from Safari on your iPhone and log in using your Apple ID. Accept entry to the Apple beta software program.

On the web page that opens scroll to the Get Started section and click on the Enroll your iOS device link. In the Install profile section, click Download profile. Next, click Allow.

Go to Settings, tap on Downloaded profile and follow the instructions. Once the profile is installed, go to Settings > General > Software update. Finally, tap on Download and Install.

Note: It is recommended that before updating to iOS 14 in its beta version, you make a backup of your iPhone. So you can restore it in case of any contingency.
