Discover the Components of your PC without Software (HP, Lenovo, Dell, Asus)

Knowing your computer’s hardware specifications has numerous advantages. It allows you to recognize your limitations at the performance level and thus be prepared to make the necessary updates when the time comes to require more speed or power. It also serves to download the appropriate drivers for each component and avoid system crash problems that lead to loss of information.

All this information can be obtained without having to use third-party programs specialized in hardware analysis or opening the computer case. It is provided from Windows by the integrated System Information tool, present in almost all versions of Windows, including Windows 11.

How to access the Windows 11 System Information tool

Its execution is very simple. Just click the Start menu, hover over the search box, and type System Information. Once the System Information app appears, click Open.

This Windows tool shows you on its home screen a summary of your system that includes the operating system version, computer manufacturer and model, processor type, BIOS version and date, BIOS mode, device boot, the installed RAM memory, the regional configuration, the username, among other types of information of interest.

In addition, it presents additional listings such as the list of Hardware Resources that your computer has, which includes advanced information such as conflicts, forced hardware and IRQs.

The Components list details each of the hardware devices installed on the computer, including audio devices, problem devices, and network protocols.

Finally, the Software Environment listing lists system drivers and their status, running services, programs that load at system startup, loaded modules, among other aspects of Windows.
