VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE is a Windows error code that manifests itself through a blue screen that forces the system to be restarted unexpectedly, causing the pending jobs to be lost, among other types of inconvenience.
As its name indicates, this error code is related to a problem that appeared in the video section of the PC, but when it is accompanied by the expression nvlddmkm.sys it represents a problem with the execution of this file, which is part of the video drivers for certain graphics cards manufactured by the NVIDIA company.
Fortunately, it has an easy solution. What you should do is reinstall your NVIDIA graphics card drivers by following these steps.
First of all, find out the model of your Nvidia graphics card. For this, do the following:
Press the Windows + R keys at the same time and wait for the Run dialog to open.
Type the expression dxdiag and click OK.
When the Directx Diagnostic Tool opens, click the Display tab and get the information you need.
Once done, enter the NVIDIA driver download page, select the driver you need using its options menu and taking into account if your operating system is 32 or 64 bits. Then, download its installation file to your hard drive.
Finally, run this file with an EXE extension, follow the instructions of the installation wizard and restart your PC.
