How to post a video on YouTube Shorts

You have managed to capture a scene that can generate impact and you want to make it known to the world by your own means. You want to attract customers to your brand by presenting creative videos, so why not give YouTube Shorts a try?

What is YouTube Shorts?

In case you didn’t know, YouTube Shorts is the short-form video platform integrated into YouTube and direct competition from TikTok and Instagram.

It allows you to record and publish videos between 15 and 60 sixty seconds long, adding music from the YouTube library, your own filters and speed effects. In addition, it has the support of a company like Google, an expert in web positioning issues.

YouTube Shorts represents one of the easiest ways to publish a short video on the web. And just like videos in standard format, it has monetization options for publications, but through an award program, as long as they meet certain requirements: originality of the content, respect for copyright, among other conditions.

How to create a YouTube Short

The first step is to have the YouTube app installed on your cell phone. Make sure you have it updated to have the Shorts camera. Next, open YouTube and click on Create (“+” button) > Create Short.

Select the duration of the video. By default it is 15 seconds, but it can be extended to 60 seconds. To do this, press the circular button above the record button (on iPhone it’s at the top right of the screen).

To start the recording, keep the red button pressed, pausing as you deem necessary. Each pause generates a different scene that you can undo or redo by pressing the controls located on the screen. When you want to end the recording, tap on the “Done” option.

Once this is done, you will be able to edit the recording by adding color filters, texts and sounds from the available library. Next, click Next to display the Add details option. From this option you can give the recording a title, configure its visibility and finally publish it on YouTube.
