The same is not the case with Apple’s HomeKit system, which reduces the comfort of use for those iPhone or iPad users accustomed to having Siri solve various tasks around the home.
Fortunately, it is possible to make some simple settings in the Smart Life app installed on the iPhone or iPad so that the brand’s devices can be controlled with voice commands to Siri, for example, to turn them off and on, among other common tasks. You just have to follow these steps.
How to configure Siri to control Smart Life devices
Open the Smart Life app installed on your iPhone or iPad, and tap Scene. On this screen, tap Create scene, then tap Play to play.
On the screen that appears, go to After and tap the button with the plus sign. Now, tap on Control a single device.
Once the Smart Life devices appear, select the device you want to control with commands to Siri. Then select the associated function, for example, Switch.
Next, select ON or OFF as appropriate, assign a name to the task, click Save and click Next.
As the last step, click Save. On this same screen, tap Add to Siri.
To verify that the task has been created successfully and to know precisely the voice phrase that you must intone, use the Siri Shortcut screen and tap on it
