The usefulness of Microsoft OneDrive for collaborative work is undeniable. Neither is its file storage function in the cloud with which you can save photos and videos to view them on any other mobile device or computer linked to the same account. This feature has been enhanced by Microsoft and moved to smart TV screens.
Through an update, Microsoft has added Chromecast support to the Android version of OneDrive. This allows you to use your phone to send media content stored on OneDrive to a TV connected to a Chromecast receiver or to an Android TV with Chromecast built-in.
To use this new OneDrive feature you just have to do the following.
How to watch a OneDrive video on TV
First, update the OneDrive application that you have on your phone. To do this, open the Google Play Store and click on the profile icon. Tap on Manage device and apps.
Next, click on Manage and click on Available updates. Select the OneDrive application and click Update.
Once done, open OneDrive and play a photo or video. To watch it on your TV, click the Cast icon and select the Chromecast device or Chromecast built-in TV.
